Who we are

50 years strong

Located  at  Trine  University  in  Angola,  IN,  the  Civitan  Youth  Leadership  and Diversity  Conference  (YLDC)  has  spent  one  week  each  summer  for over  50  years  helping  the  leaders  of  tomorrow  develop  the  skills  to  tackle real-world  issues  within  their  communities  and  their  world.

What we do

Throughout  the  week,  delegates  participate  in  a  variety  of  sessions  and  activities  that  push  them  to  discover  and  put  to  use  their leadership  talents  and  abilities  while  recognizing  the  barriers  and challenges  that  others  encounter.

Who we look for

Who we look for

Students

Entering grades 9-12

The content and structure of our conference is tailored each year to meet, discuss, and address the needs and challenges that young adults face. As a result, we limit our delegates to this age group.

Changers

Invested in their communities

In a delegate, we look for individuals that are a part of their communities. Whether you are a member of a club, a team, a student organization, or are simply an engaged citizen, you are in a unique position to affect change in your world.

Leaders

Who will change the world

At our conference, we consider everyone to have the ability to be a leader. Whether or not you see it in yourself, we will help you identify and use skills to allow you to become a more effective leader in your community.
